We understand the challenges of having work done inside your house. No matter how much someone wants their home painted, we know that it is an imposition, which is why we strive to minimize the impact on your living space.

We cover your floors with clean drop cloths, including the path used to walk in and out of your home. Our team operates under the highest standards of professionalism. Playing music and smoking cigarettes is prohibited on the job, and we take great care to remain as quiet as possible while in your home.

Washing Your Home

Unless your home is brick, the siding was only made to withstand the water pressure of heavy rain. When someone takes a power washer to that same siding, immense pressure is applied to the grain, and water is pushed up into cracks and crevices that it would never have access to during a storm. The result is damaged siding that is now holding water. With time, the boards will swell and crack, leaving replacement as the only solution.

Rather than using a power washer on your home, we will use a cleaning solution and a simple garden hose to gently remove mildew and rinse the surface of your house. The time we spend carefully cleaning everything will also allow us the opportunity to closely inspect any existing wood rot or damage that needs to be addressed.

A power washer can be an excellent tool on the right surface, which is why we frequently employ one for brick homes, sidewalks, patios, driveways, etc.

Wallpapering

Hanging and removal of wallpaper is a specialized craft that we are proud to offer, as we continue to provide the same level of excellence and attention to detail that our customers have enjoyed for more than 40 years.

Exterior

When it comes to the exterior of your home, nothing is more important than preparation. Anybody can throw on a new coat of paint, but if the proper foundation is not established, it's only a matter of time before problems resurface.

The greatest enemy to the outside of your house is water, which is why our first goal is to identify any places where moisture has been sneaking in behind your paint and causing it to peel, crack, or bubble. As we carefully prepare to begin painting, we will make a list of any places where the wood has begun to rot (or other repairs that may need attention), and we will discuss them with you so that you can decide what you are ready to address.

If your home was built before 1978, it is highly likely to contain lead-based paint. Regulations require that, in order to work on a house with lead-based paint, contractors be certified to ensure it is handled properly. We are proud to be certified and well-prepared to care for homes containing lead-based paint. You can rest knowing that your family's safety is our first priority.

Once the surface is clean, dry, and protected, it's time to paint your house! Practicing the same level of care as with our interior work, everything will be covered with clean drop cloths (bushes, walkways, etc.) to ensure that nothing is dripped on your plants or bricks. We promise to leave your property as we found it so that the only evidence of our work is a clean, final product you can count on for years.

Decks

If you have seen a deck after the stain was applied improperly, you know what a hassle it can create. Working with stain is a delicate, time-sensitive task that requires patience and skill, particularly in a space as large and exposed as a deck.
